Atomic force microscopy(AFM) plays unique advantage to investigate biomolecular interactions on cell surfaces under or near physiological conditions.It has become an extremely powerful tool for imaging the biomolecules of interest in their natural environment with nanometer resolution and making measurements of molecular interaction forces with piconewton sensitivity.
