Research on Forest Green Biomass Estimation Based on Ratio Vegetation Index of RS

Using remote sensing (RS) and related mathematical methods, realized the leaf area index (LAI) RS inversion through establishing LAI and ratio vegetation index (RVI) regression model. After that the amount of forest green biomass in Nanping City, Fujian Province was estimated through the relationship researched between LAI and green biomass. After testing more than 86％ estimation accuracy, the results provides an effective method for the rapid estimation of regional forest green biomass.
