Whole genome duplications (WGDs) are a widespread feature during plant genome evolution, creating the types of single gene and duplicate genes by biased fractionation and genome dominance.Despite the prevalence of these events, the mechanism of biased fractionation and genome dominance remains unknown. We have studied the patterns and mechanism of the different expression between maize two subgenomic duplicate genes in 503 maize inbreds using the genome-wide association analysis (GWAS) and cluster analysis.
