In this paper,we combine first principles calculations and experiments to investigate the influence of Gadoping and oxygen vacancies on the magnetic properties of rutile TiO2 films.Magnetic moments associated with the formation of Ti3+ions were found in all cases, but they couple differently, which results in different magnetic states.Ga-doped sample with few oxygen vacancies exhibit ferromagnetism at room temperature with a TC near 350 K,which is consistent with first principles calculations and explained with a modified magnetic polaron model.
