In this study, Cathodoluminescense (CL), Photoluminenscence (PL), Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), Energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and X-Ray diffractometer (XRD) analyzed the emission properties and microstructural defects of aluminate-based phosphors (EuMgAl10O17, EMA).A combinatorial ink-jet printing method prepared the aluminate-based phosphors with different magnesium content.Experimental results showed that the intensity of phosphors emission peak at λ =480 nm (blue afterglow) in this system was changed with different magnesium content. The detailed relationship between microstructural and optical properties was discussed in this paper.
