Huangqin Tang (HQT) is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine formula, containing Radix Scutellariae, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae and Jujubae Fructus.The pharmacokinetic (PK) properties of HQT were investigated in trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid and ethanol-induced ulcerative colitis rats.Plasma samples were collected at different time after single and multiple oral administration of HQT at 20 g/kg.The concentrations of paeoniflorin, baicalin, wogonoside, baicalein, wogonin, oroxylin A, glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid were quantified by a validated LC-MS method.The concentration-time data were then calculated by non-compartmental pharmacokinetic methods using WinNonlin software.
