In this article we study a recursive construction of maximum genus embedding for a connected graph G.We show that if G contains a set A ={v1,v2,...,vm} of independent vertices such that G-A is connected, then mγM(G) ≥ 1/2Σmi=1(d(xi)-εi) + γM(G-A),where each εi =1 or 2 according to d(xi) ≡ 1(mod2) or not (1 ≤ i ≤ m).This recursive inequality works well for odd graphs(every vertex has odd degree).
