Cloning and expression analysis of MEP pathway related genes in Dendrobium officinale

Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo(D.officinale)is an important herb in China.MEP pathway is one of the two elucidated upstream biosynthetic routes modulating the terpeniods biosynthesis in plant.Full length cDNA of completed set enzymes in MEP pathway were systematically isolated based on homology-based cloning approach and rapid amplification of cDNA ends(RACE)technique.The expression patterns of these genes were studied by real-time PCR.As a result,the full-length cDNA of DoDXS,DoDXR,DoHDS,DoHDR,DoIPI in Dendrobium officinale were obtained.
