In recent years,many researchers adopted noble metals such as Pt,Pd,Au and Ag to modify TiO2 surface to enhance its photocatalytic activity under visible light.In particular,silver nanoparticles deposited on TiO2 surface (Ag/TiO2) have attracted significant attention because of its nontoxicity and relatively low price.Conventional methods for preparation of Ag/TiO2 composites are thermal impregnation and photodeposition.Thermal impregnation will result in the increase of the size of silver particles.Photodeposition can minimize the size of silver particles,but it often need additional reducers which will result in the impurity of the composites.Cold plasmas are often operated at low temperature,and they are clean and dry compared with conventional methods and have been applied to reduce supported noble-metal ions.However,most of the experiments were conducted at low pressure.
