As part of our continuous efforts to study on the transition metal-catalyzed oxidation-initiated tandem reactions,1-3 we recently reported a Zn-catalyzed tandem alkyne oxidation/C-H functionalization for the highly site-selective synthesis of versatile isoquinolones and β-carbolines.
