　　To overcome the serious chemo-resistant phenotype of the advanced cancers,it is urgently required to precisely understand the molecular mechanisms behind this phenomenon.In the present study,we have found that histone deacetylase 2(HDAC2)acts as a co-activator of tumor suppressor p53,and participates in the early molecular events following DNA damage.
