Currently, multi-functional usages of tall buildings become a common trend.Transfer floor is the major component for the entire building to allocate the change of the locations for vertical structural elements due to the complex shapes or multi-functional usage of the building.There are several structural systems to transfer the loading, in forms of beam, plate, truss and box.Mostly, transfer plate system is the most common practical structural form adopted in tall buildings in Hong Kong region.
