In present study,a mathematical model coupling the gas flow and the combustion of pulverized coal and furnace gas were developed to study the reduction rate of raw material in the rotary kiln,in which,k - ε turbulence model was used,the pulverized coal was treated as dispersed phase,combustion was simulated by species transport model,and the Pl radiation model was adopted.The model was validated by the experimental data.Based on this model,the velocity field of gas,the temperature distribution of the rotary kiln,the reduction rate of main components of NiO and Fe2O3 was obtained.
