Diatoms are an important component of primary production which play an important role in material circulation and energy flow in marine ecosystem.Especially oil-producing diatoms could be deemed one of the best alternative raw materials for biodiesel production.We isolated one bacterial strain designated LY03,which can affect the growth of marine diatom.In this study,the physiological,biochemical characteristics and algicidal activity of the strain were determined.
