TAVI procedures are performed in Germany in 78 cardio—surgical centers within a heart team which include surgeons and cardiologists.All centers have committed to share their data with the German Aortic Register GARY.At this time data of more than 36000 patients are registered.In 2012 more than 6300 TAVI—procedures are performed in another surgical register of the German Society (DGTHG).Over all 30—day mortality was 7.7 %The single center experience in Bad Neustadt Heart Center is around 442 cases,212 performed with a transfemoral (TF—AVI) and 232with a trans—apical approach (TA—AVI starting in 2009.For decision making a clear algorithm is used based on imaging,as TEE and CT—scan,physical and mental tests.Final decision is made in a "Heart—Team".
