  Calcium ion influx through CaV1.2 calcium channel is essential for the cardiac excitation contraction coupling and dysfunction of CaV1.2 channel will trigger the myocardial hypertrophy.Previously,we found Galectin-1(Gal-1),a member of β-galactoside binding proteins can regulate vascular constriction via splice variant specifically binding with CaV1.2 channels,but whether this binding takes some roles in the heart remains unknown.
