Previous studies have shown that adolescents who did multiple suicide attempts, compared to those who have not or attempted once, exhibit more depressive/dysphoric symptoms, higher levels of aggressiveness, hostility and hopelessness, and long-term stress.Few researches have explored if familial environment (structure, parent psychopathology), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) traits, and presence of both externalised and internalised symptoms are also associated factors for multiple suicide attempts.
