　　RNA interference (RNAi) is a mechanism of gene regulation conserved in eukaryotes.The core of RNAi effector complexes includes small regulatory RNAs and members of the Argonaute (AGO) protein family.Each plant species encodes multiple AGO proteins and a complex population of small RNAs (sRNAs).
