In this paper, the authors first introduced the hydrology correlations of the upstream and downstream reaches, and the features of BP artificial neural network algorithm, discussed and used the C# programming language to build a program by using BP neural network algorithm to achieve the river flow forecasting procedures, and then used it for short-term hydrologic forecasting from Shigu to Panzhihua hydrologic stations in the Jinsha River of the Yangtze River upstream basin.
