　　Insulin resistance is the major underlying defect in type 2 diabetes mellitus.The major cause of death of patients with type 2 diabetes is diabetic complications.Since oxidative stress could be one of the major factors to aggravate diabetic complications,compounds with antioxidant activity could improve diabetic complications.We investigated beneficial effects of Taraxacum officinale (TO) on insulin resistance and oxidative stress in animal model of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
