The Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway is well known for its role in directing processes such as cell growth,proliferation,and differentiation during embryogenesis.As a membrane protein of Hh pathway central components,Smo plays a crucial role for transducing Hh signal across the cell plasma membrane.
