  A O/W microemulsion system of berberine hydrochloride(BBR) was prepared and evaluated for its solubilization capacity and oral bioavailability.Based on a solubility study and pseudo ternary phase diagrams,berberine hydrochloride microemulsions (BBR ME) of about 18.98 nm in mean diameter ware formulated with improved solubility towards the BBR raw drug with poor water solubility and membrane permeability.
