Liquid-based methods for sample collection, transportation, and storage are cumbersome and expensive, while solid-state specimen carriers allow easy, non-hazardous storage and transportation and might be suitable for large-scale screening in low-resource settings.In 2012, 412 callback women aged 25-65 yrs were enrolled for cervical cancer screening.
