　　Introduction:Coexistence of lumbar spinal stenosis and lumbar disc herniation is often encountered.A herniated intervertebral disc is usually regarded as the entity separate from the spinal stenosis.Discectomy through laminotomy rather than laminectomy has been recommended for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation associated with congenital spinal stenosis,but there is very little information regarding the long-term outcome of surgery.The objective of this study was to evaluate long-term results of discectomy for lumbar disc herniation associated congenital spinal stenosis.
