The influence of cathode density on the performance of Lithium-ion batteries was studied.The cathodes with different density were prepared by adjusting the roll spacing in the pressing process.Results show that the cathode density has observable impact on battery capacity,internal resistance and cycling performance.As the cathode density increased,battery internal resistance is increased after first decreasing and the capacity and cycle properties are decreased.The comprehensive electrochemical performance of lithium-ion batteries is best when the cathode density is 3.1g/cm3.The battery remained 85% of its original capacity after 390 cycling times.
