Ultrafast lasers with repetition rates in the megahertz regime have been in-depth investigated for their immense applications in the fields of fiber optic communications,materials processing frequency comb,and nonlinear optics.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrafast erbium-doped fiber laser passively mode locked by molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)coated on a side-polishing fiber.
