Objective To explore the applied anatomy,diagnosis and treatment features of retrocaval ureter.Methods Combimed relevant literature with the clinical data,we reported 2 cases ofretrocaval ureter on anatomy,Imaging and therapy.Results B-ultrasound showed the right hydronephrosis.Intravenous urography revealed inverted "J" -like ureter.By CT scan urography,ureter was found similar to "S".Then ureteroureterostomy was carried out for 2 cases.Conclusions Preoperatively both patients were mostly diagnosed by imageologic cooperation examination.It should gain satisfying results that recovering the normal anatomy of ureter anterior to the inferior vena by open surgery.
