Background The aim of this study was to investigate functions of CD40/CD40 ligand system and CD 134/CD 134 ligand system on immunologic mechanism of atherosclerosis (AS).Methods Twenty-one healthy male adult rabbits were divided into 3 groups randomly.Normal control group (N): fed with normal food.CHD group (CHD): fed with 1.5％ cholesterol diet and intervened with iliac artery balloon injury at the end of fourth week.
