The Correlation Between Genomic GC Content and DNA Polymerase Ⅲ in Eubacteria

We analyzed guanine and cytosine (gGC) content of 229 prokaryotic genomes and found that eubacterial genomes have highly variable GC content from 17％ to 75％.Scientists reported rules on prokaryotic genome GC content and gene GC content gradient,but the mechanism of the gGC variability remains unknown.
