Alpine grasslands,as the dominant ecosystems on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau,play very important roles in soil and water conservation,biodiversity protection,carbon sequestration,and the pastoral animal production.However,grassland degradation due to human activities and climate change results in the decline of soil fertility and loss of grassland productivity and the unsustainability of alpine grasslands.
