Nocardia is resistant to many antibiotics, which are beta-lactams,aminoglycosides,macrolides and rifampicin (RIF).The complete genome sequence analysis of N.farcinica IFM 10152 has revealed the existence of various drug resistance mechanisms, for example transporters, drug modification enzymes, drug target alterations and so on [1].As for RIF.rpoB2 gene, which is the duplicated RNA polymerase beta-subunit gene, has experimentally been demonstrated as a resistance determinant [2].
