　　Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains are exposed to various stressful conditions during biofuels production,which include the toxic level of ethanol and inhibitors from cellulosic hydrolysates,high temperature and so on.Improvement of stress tolerance of yeast strains benefits economic production of fuel ethanol,which is acting as alternative clean energy in many countries all over the world.In our previous work,the protective effect of zinc against ethanol toxicity was revealed.
