　　The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) forms dynamic contacts with several intracellular compartments,and these contacts are known to play a key role in lipid transport and membrane homeostasis.Two integral ER membrane proteins,ORP5 and ORP8 are members of the oxysterol binding protein (OSBP)-related proteins (ORPs) family that are implicated in lipid trafficking between the ER and other cellular organelles.
