The protective effects of mild hypothermia on cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury were studied with a new model of cerebral ischemia. Blocking the rabbit brain blood flow and specific head caused by acute cerebral ischemia and reperfusion after the completion of the model. Changes of mild hypothermia (34 ~ 35 ℃) and control groups at different temperatures after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion were observed. The results showed that the rabbits with mild hypothermia had good neurological function, low water content of brain tissue, inhibited the excessive release of Glu and Asp, inhibited the flow of calcium ions into the cells, and alleviated the tissue and cell injury both in pathology and light microscopy. Experiments show that mild hypothermia has a protective effect on cerebral ischemia and ischemia-reperfusion injury
