N-doped graphene aerogels (NGAs) were synthesized by using graphene oxide (GO) and melamine via a self-assembly process by hydrothermal method. The morphology of GO with different ultrasonic time and the corresponding NGAs were characterized by atomic force microscope (AFM)and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively.Importantly, the microstructure of NGAs were greatly influenced by the sheet size of GO.Whats more, the structure of NGA-4 were further characterized by FTIR spectra, X-ray diffraction, XPS spectroscopy and nitrogen adsorption/desorption measurement. The BET surface area of NGA-4 was as high as 852 m2 g-1,which is higher than most hydrothermally reduced graphene aerogel.
