Non-commutative quantum mechanics,for a system with two degrees of freedom has been extensively studied in the last few years.In this talk we shall explore some of the groups that underlie such a system (in the same sense as the Heisenberg-Weyl group underlies standard quantum mechanics).We shall also construct the associated coherent states and obtain the generators of the theory by employing the technique of coherent state quantization.
