Synthesis and properties of magnetic fluorescent bi-functional graphene oxide-based nanocomposites

  A graphene oxide-based nanocomposite((Fe3O4-ZnO QDs)@SiO2-GO nanocomposites)was synthesized via an amidation process by introducing mesoporous Fe3O4 nanopaticles and ZnO Quantum dots onto surface of GO.The structure characterization,optical property,magnetic property of nanocomposites were studied by FT-IR and PL emission spectra,AFM,VSM,TEM,SEM.The results show that this composite has high surface area,superparamagnetic and tunable fluoenresence.Additionally,methylene blue was chosen as model to investigate the loading capacity of this composite.The loading experiment indicates that the composite has high loading capacity(1175.80 mg/g).It implies that this bi-functional graphene oxide-based composite is expected to be an excellent drug carrier,which can be manipulated easily with an external magnetic field and feedback information by determining fluorescence.
