In this study,two “quarter-size” mini-cyclones were developed to remove particles larger than 1.0 and 0.3 μm under a very low flow rate of 0.3 lpm,and two small impactors were also developed to remove particles larger than 0.3 μm at a low flow rate of 0.3 lpm.They are ideal devices to adapt to current instruments to prevent particle contamination/interference or work independently as a personal sampler.The geometric configuration of the mini-cyclones is referring to the Extra-Sharp-Cut cyclone (ESCC) series [1].
