World production of primary indium and gallium productions were estimated to be 640 tons and 216 tons in 2011.Indium is most commonly recovered from the zinc-sulfide ore mineral sphalerite.And, primary gallium supply originates as a byproduct recovered during the processing of bauxite ore to alumina.However, Primary indium on the world supply originates as a byproduct of processing zinc ores.
