北美新生代华裔女作家指20世纪60至70年代出生在加拿大和美国的华裔女作家,刘绮芬、张岚、拉丽莎·赖和何舜廉就是其中出色的代表。通过分析发现,这些女作家的叙述技巧各具特色:刘绮芬以日记的形式书写自我意识;张岚对中华民族文化进行象征书写,让主人公回到中国文化并对其进行反思;拉丽莎·赖重写中国神话,让主人公在奇幻世界中弥合断裂历史,控诉工业压迫;何舜廉则戏仿西方经典童话,对压制边缘个体的主流文化进行了颠覆。不同风格的叙述,使身份问题在不断地交流和反思中得到提升,最终实现超越与升华。
The new generation of Chinese American women writers in North America refers to Chinese women writers born in Canada and the United States from the 1960s to the 1970s. Among them are Liu Chinese, Zhang Lan, La Lisa Lai and He Shunlian.
