　　Search for innovative molecular biomarkers in a particular field is a big issue for the patients and also the medical and pharmaceutical industries.We will report our experience since our laboratory is dedicated for years to identify and promote to the clinical settings innovative molecular markers using bcr abl dosage as an example.We will report the BCR ABL dosage by real time PCR, the only molecular marker in use across the world, for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia patients during the tyrosine kinase inhibitors era.We first developed a standardisation effort and external quality controls through the European Against Cancer (EAC) network then we initiate the work on freeze dried cells that can be sent worldwide at room temperature and we contribute to obtain the WHO label in 2010 after an international effort.
