BNw/Si3N4 composite ceramics were fabricated by gas pressure sintering process using alpha-Si3N4 powder and self-made BN whisper as principal raw materials and the effects of different sintering additives such as YAG,MgO+YAG,Ln2O3+YAG(Ln=La,Sm,Dy)on the apparent porosity,microstructure,phase composition,mechanical performance and dielectric properties of the composite ceramics were analysed.
