  In my lectures I will elaborate on non-equilibrium quantum transport in large but finite one-dimensional interacting quantum systems.After reviewing the concepts of heat,charge and magnetization transport in non-equilibrium thermodynamics and discussing fundamental linear-response relations,I will motivate and explain a simple paradigm of boundary driven quantum master equations.I will show how understanding the steady state solutions of boundary driven master equations can be useful for,both,understanding physics of closed system in the regime of linear response,and open systems far from equilibrium.I will then move to discussing efficient computational techniques,both numerical and analytical,for constructing the nonequilibrium steady state solutions of boundary driven quantum master equations.The common concept behind these techniques is the notion of a matrix product state which I will explain extensively in different examples.
