The purpose of this paper is to investigatethe impacts of different under-cover structures on temperature fluctuations of heat sensitive parts,and to predict the temperatures of heat vulnerable components in the underhood of vehicle,wherebycorrelating with experimental data in the uphill drive mode.The lower classics panel is optimised through the investigation and the correlating results of temperature predictions are encouraging.In the end,a heat shield optimaldesign is provided to prevent the drive shaft boot from the heat damage regarding the numerical analysis and tests.
