　　Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) were synthesized on graphite fiber felt by catalytic chemical vapour decomposition (CVD)method using nickel as catalyst and ethane as carbon source.As a result, the surface of the graphite fibers was uniformly covered by a layer of CNFs with a thickness of several microns.
