Background: All accidents injury are considerable sources of morbidity and mortality for children and adolescents.This study was done to investigate the types and severity of injuries in children younger for 1 year in PICU from childrens hospital of FuDan university during 2008.5-2009.5.Methods: A retrospective chart review was done on 96 children who suffered injuries in accidents during a 12-month period.67 patients were boys and 29 were girls.The mean age of the children was 4 years.The patients were differences in accident type, analysis children who to happened accidents age, sex, length of PICU admission as well as turnover.Results: All children required hospital admission.The top seven of accident injury were traffic accident (52%), fall(17.7%),drowning(7.2%),choke(4.1%), toxication (1 %), cover syndrome(4.1%) and else cause injury(13.9%).Total 76% children suffered head.
