　　The mechanism of regulation mammary epithelial cell numbers in ruminant is not fully understood, but is thought to be dependent on the balance of cell proliferation and apoptosis.△FosB/AP-1 and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) have been reported to regulate cell proliferation and death, however, the interactions between △FosB/AP-1 and MMP-9 and their roles in cell proliferation and apoptosis in goat mammary gland epithelial (GME) cells are poorly understood.
