Well-organized cardiomyocytes are important for heart to adapt to the increasing ventricular diastolic function during mid-gestation.Here we show that protein prenylation is required for the organization of cardiomyocyte at midgestation.Expression level of geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate synthase (Ggpps) which is involved in protein prenylation was increased in embryonic heart at midgestation.
