Slurry Electrolysis (SE) has been developed for over twenty years.It integrates all the three sections of traditional hydrometallurgical processes of ore treatment such as leaching, solution purification and electrowinning into one step.In the present paper, ocean polymetallic nodules have been treated in HCl-NaCl medium using slurry electrolysis (SE) process.Experiments were conducted in a 5L electrolyser.Anode and cathode were made of Ti/MnO2 strip and graphite stick respectively between which a percolating diaphragm was placed to separate the electrolyser into anode zone and cathode zone.In cathode zone,slurry was agitated with the JJ-90 type electric agitator at a constant speed.
