　　Previous study using virus overlay protein binding assay (VOPBA) technique revealed that three shrimp proteins that can bind to envelope protein (VP28) of white spot syndrome virus (WSSV).One among three was hemocyte kazal type-proteinase inhibitor (PmKPI) (Mascot score of 459, sequence coverage 36%).Kazal-type proteinase inhibitors are essential factors involving in controlling the various proteinase mediated biological processes including those of immune response.
